Jargon

Jargon

Let it all get to your head,
What of consequences?
Never once thought it through.
Influence, influence,
Spin a tale out of silk.
Regret, too late,
Make the world walk a rope.
Escape, impossible,
Flee the scene like a bird.

What of acquaintances and soul?
The world's reached an end,
Where death is but nigh.
Reach for your hand,
You'd find naught but trust,
Broken into pieces,
Uncountable and lost.

Pride and price,
Come once more together,
Where one pays the price,
For the fall after pride.
Lose all your senses,
Abandon all hope.
Make sense of no one,
And find knowledge from none.

Begin at the end,
End at the start.
Who'd know the winner,
Of a race down to hell?

Insolent monkeys,
Running in circles.
Nothing but flowers,
Painted in crimson.
Like birds of a feather,
Flocking in harmony.

Fall into heaven,
Soar right down to hell.
Reach down for eternity,
Lose yourself in mid-flight.

Cluttered and matted,
Find a toe in a hair-stack,
And wake up to fantasy,
Where we walk on the ceiling.

Let's make sense out of nothing;
Have nothing made sense out of.
The world is but a mess of un-ending nonsense.
